Hot-Air / Cold-Stake
This Welding technique is recommended as a cost effective method for applications consisting of more than 10 welding spots. It is energy efficient, and welds several weld spots at the same time, thus giving excellent cycle times on parts with a large number of welding locations.

Hot air is applied to the boss or stud in a chamber, thus softening the material, and then a cold stake is pressed against the boss giving it form.
